I'm recording my first mantra album!
I have started writing and recording my first mantra album!
Here are a few words about myself, my new music and the free download I’m offering at the moment to show my gratitude.
Musician by heart.
My entire life has revolved around music. Since before my teenage years I have been performing professionally. I have released several albums, toured intensively and topped the charts within the pop industry as both a producer and a songwriter and with my band The Loft.
Yoga and meditation has been an integral part of my life parallel to my music for more than a decade.
For the last two years I have been studying meditation, Indian philosophy, mantra music and traditional kirtan intensely with different teachers in both India and Denmark and I have been leading kirtan in Copenhagen on a regular basis.
All this has naturally led me into the process of writing and recording my first mantra album!
I am so excited about the new music and at this moment I’m half way through the process of recording and producing the songs, which will also be featuring some great guest musicians.
I’m so grateful for my journey and for the support I get from you.
For a limited time I’m offering a free download of the mantra ‘Om Purnam - Mantra of Perfection’ which will be on the album.
To download ‘Om Purnam - Mantra of Perfection’ go HERE.
This is a mantra that found me through a friend called Alan Wade (Dattaatrey) from Kullu, India, who visited Copenhagen this summer. He taught me this melody and I just knew that I had to record it. Thank you, Dattaa :-)
It’ s not a final recording, since I might add some extra layers of acoustic elements at some point. Maybe a cello or a flute. But I wanted to let you inside the proces, so you can get a feel of it, just as it is right now.
The mantra album will be a mixture of invocations, prayers, and melodic call and response chanting (kirtan).
I will try to keep you updated as much as possible during the making of it.
Om Purnam - Mantra of Perfection
Om Purnam adah, purnam idam
Purnat purnam udaa chyate
Purnasya purnam adaya,
Purnam eva vashish yate
The field of unstruck sound is One, from that One everything has come. When you take from the whole, the whole remains whole, and what you take from the whole is whole also.
Purn Brahm, perfect One.
