When my beloved friends, Stina and Niels (GopiAnand Kirtan) generously asked me if I wanted to help organise getting Krishna Das to Copenhagen, the answer was of course a loud and loving YES!

Krishna Das was my gateway into kirtan and chanting. In many ways, I see him as my teacher, both as a musician and on my spiritual path. I have been blessed to spend time with him a couple of times over the last couple of years, and the meetings have always been deep, heartfelt and inspiring.

His career as a recording artist is spanning more than two decades and he is the best-selling western chant artist of all time with 16 acclaimed albums including one grammy nomination. Two of the albums, ‘Breath of the Heart’ and ‘Door of Faith’, were produced by legendary Rick Rubin, who has done work for artists like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Jay-Z, Adele and many more.

KD is well-known for taking call-and-response chanting from yoga centers and temples into concert halls, and now you have the chance to experience the power of his chanting in Copenhagen.
