Pre-save my new release Guru Brahma now!
I’m really excited about the upcoming release of my new piece of mantra music Guru Brahma. It will be available on all digital platforms on Friday, October 9th. I would be so happy if you would spend a minute and pre-save or pre-add the song via this link: https://ffm.to/d1kx6vg
In this algorithm-driven world, every pre-save and pre-order counts!
This is a way of telling the algorithms on Spotify and other digital platforms that the song might be worth showing to more people via their playlists. As an independent artist, this will help me enormously.
Thank you.
With love,
Jakob
About Guru Brahma
This is my first release as a mantra artist, and it’s a new (as in scary) and exciting step for me personally, moving into new territory as a singer and songwriter. The inspiration for this song came from my listening to Krishna Das.
Guru Brahma started out as a simple piano piece, but as I began writing the melody, it naturally grew into a production that slowly kept building up, mixing both the acoustic elements of the harmonium, cello and piano with more electronic parts and beats, bringing in my own eclectic sound and experience as a producer.
For me, this chant is about dissolving back into the Love that lives within and into the field of pure being and inner guiding light that is always present. All of which can also be described as the Guru within; our own true Self.
I had an image coming to my mind when making the music, of a wave slowly rising from the ocean of oneness, washing over me, washing away my sense of separateness, until totally immersed in the ocean that holds everything in the sweetest love. Turning within, I surrender to the waves of Love washing over me, I surrender to the most intimate space, which is the One, the Beloved.
I hope you will enjoy Guru Brahma as much as I have enjoyed the journey of making it. The proces has been vey healing and joyful for me and my humble wish is that the music can shine a little light in these difficult times of uncertainty.
Guru Brahma is dedicated to Krishna Das, whom I am forever grateful to for guiding me back to the Heart and to the great Himalayan saint Neem Karoli Baba.
